Accident Compensation

Debt Guy

Accidents happen, this is part of life. People are hurt and killed not only on the roads as drivers, passengers and pedestrians, but in workplaces and many other situations, and they are entitled to compensation. Fall injuries are common, as are sporting and recreational injuries. If you have sustained an injury, whether in a motor vehicle accident or you’ve suffered harm due to someone else’s negligence, you may be eligible to claim compensation. In NSW, you can claim up to $5,000 immediately for your loss of earnings and medical treatment without lodging a formal claim if the injury was due to a motor vehicle accident. Regardless of blame, these benefits are available, but you must do the following to be successful:

    1. Make sure you get the registration number of the vehicle at fault.
    2. If the police did not attend the scene, report the accident to them.
    3. And get the accident’s event number from the police.

Call PK Simpson without delay if you have had an accident to make sure you get the compensation you are entitled to receive. Our lawyers are personal injury specialists who can walk you through the claims process to make sure all the right boxes are ticked.

For over 35 years, PK Simpson has helped people make successful compensation claims for personal injury.

We charge on a No Win – No Fee basis – but we don’t merely pick and choose the cases we’re likely to win – and we win over 99 per cent of cases!

What to Do in Case of a Road Accident

You may be eligible to make a claim for compensation if you’ve been injured in a car accident and you can prove the owner or driver of another vehicle was either in part or wholly at fault.  All road users, be they a vehicle passenger, driver, pedestrian, motorcyclist, pillion passenger or a pushbike rider are eligible to claim compensation if injured. Even if you were partly at fault for the accident which caused your injuries, you might still be eligible to make a claim for compensation. However, be aware that you may receive less compensation in this case than if you were not at fault. Instances where you could be partly to blame for your injuries include:

    • Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
    • Failing to wear a seatbelt
    • Being a passenger in a vehicle driven by a person you know is affected by alcohol or drugs.
    • Driving above the speed limit or at an unsafe speed
    • Failing to wear a helmet when cycling or riding a motorcycle

At PK Simpson, we are aware of all the tricks used by insurers to stop you from getting the compensation you are entitled to receive. Our lawyers can spot the legal shenanigans used by the insurer’s team to try to reject your compensation claim. So, let PK Simpson lawyers help you make your claim. And if you were denied before you came to us, we know how to deal with an appeal and to do everything we can to get your compensation for you.
